Free Advice

My brother, Ryan, served in the Ukraine, Kiev Mission.  He said that the most
valuable thing that he learned on his mission is that "You don't need to speak the
same language to connect with someone when you are using the spirit."

Ryan recently set me this text- "If you had to offer your wisest piece
of advice in 3 sentences or less, what would it be?"

Lucky for advice is FREE  :)

So here's what I told him... "Take care of yourself, eat a healthy diet, get plenty of sleep and be consistent about your exercise.  You don't have to be best friends with everybody, but be friendly to everyone you meet. And, get to KNOW your Heavenly Father and your brother Jesus Christ!"

The best advice can be found in the Book of Mormon (if you don't have one, you can request a free one here and from our latter-day Prophets.

If I asked you the question... what is your wisest piece of advice in 3 sentences or less...
What would your 3 sentences be?

  1. You're not going to be perfect, but when you mess up just brush yourself off and try to do better next time. Figure out what is really important and fight for it with all you have. When in doubt, hit your knees and ask God b/c He has the answers and is just waiting for you to ask.

  2. Remember who you are and what you represent...and know that your Heavenly Father loves you. Even when you make mistakes...apologize, repent, and move forward doing what you know is right. Always strive to live in such a manner that you would not be embarrassed if our Savior were to visit...because he knows the choices you make.

  3. This comment has been removed by the author.

  4. When companionships get sour, humble yourself. Serve your companion. Shine her/his shoes, curl her hair or offer to iron their clothes.

  5. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Remember who you are and whose you are. Never give up.
